Most people don’t need more insight.
They need to stop repeating themselves.

Real change happens underneath the behaviour.

I started with the conventional path.

Counselling training. Psychotherapy qualifications. The frameworks, the models, the language the profession uses. I learned it properly, took it seriously, and brought it all into my work with clients.

Then I started to notice something.

The conventional path didn’t quite fit.

Not because it was wrong. It wasn’t, but because the people I worked with needed more than a model could give them.

They needed someone who could:

  • see the pattern beneath the presenting issue

  • understand the nervous system’s role in behaviour

  • work with the body as well as the mind

  • hold complexity without making it clinical or disconnected

That became the foundation of my work.

I'm a BACP Accredited counsellor and psychotherapist in Leeds, helping people overcome anxiety, burnout, overthinking, people pleasing and repeating behavioural patterns through therapy available in person and online, I’m also someone who has spent years at the edges of disciplines, psychology, neuroscience, embodied awareness, behavioural change, pulling together what actually works and leaving behind what doesn’t.

My work isn't limited to one model or one tradition,

I draw on the approaches that consistently create meaningful change.

My Background

Before specialising in self-leadership and behavioural change, I spent years in corporate environments working in engineering and project management.

That experience taught me what high performance actually costs. What leadership looks like when it's driven by pressure instead of grounded authority. And what happens when people become highly functional externally while disconnected internally.

That background gives me credibility in rooms that are sceptical of coaching. I understand pressure because I've worked inside it. That includes time contracted into large-scale change programmes at organisations including Rolls Royce and local government navigating not just the project plan, but what the change does to the people expected to carry it through.

I know what it feels like to perform well on the outside in all environments while something underneath isn't working and I know that isn't a character flaw. It's a nervous system response programmed for survival but it has the capability and capacity for change.

I retrained, qualified, and built a practice working with individuals, leaders, and corporate teams navigating pressure, transition, identity, and behavioural patterns.

The through-line in all of it is this: Lasting change is never just behavioural. It's identity-level. It's nervous system-level. It's in the patterns laid down long before the presenting problem.

What I actually Believe

• Insight alone doesn’t create change. Understanding why you do something doesn’t automatically give you the capacity to do it differently.

• Your nervous system is not the enemy. The reactions, reversions, and patterns you can’t seem to override are learned responses, not personal failures.

• Lasting change requires working with the whole person. The behaviour, the emotional patterns, the identity underneath it, and the body carrying it.

• You do not need to be fixed. You need to be understood, resourced properly, and willing to work at the root rather than the surface.

Why Power Through Alchemy?

Alchemy is the transformation of one thing into another, not the removal of what's difficult . It's the conversion of it into something useful, even powerful.

The hardest things you've lived through are not liabilities, they are the material. My work is supporting clients with learning to use that material rather than be used by it.

Lead Yourself First is the operating principle because you cannot sustainably lead anything : a team, a business, a family, a life from a place of disconnection from yourself.

Self-leadership is not selfishness. It is the foundation.
